Devoted to Diversity
April 20, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Join us on April 20th to discuss issues of racial equity. We will draw on resources from the United Way’s 21-day Equity Challenge to guide our conversation about how inequity and racism affect our lives and our community. In the interest of time, we will be limited to only a few of the daily challenges to discuss in detail. If you would like to participate in United Way’s program, register at https://www.unitedwaygso.org/challenge.
NOTE: You do not have to sign up for the challenge and/or complete the challenge to participate in our meeting on April 20.
About the United Way 21-day Racial Equity Challenge: Participants receive daily emails for 21 days with short definitions and explanations of terminology, short videos, and challenges to take on your own. Daily topics include understanding bias, affordable housing & homelessness, legal system inequities, privilege and allyship.
We invite you to take the challenge for whatever length of time your schedule allows in whatever depth you are able to commit. It may be beneficial to write your thoughts down to share at our meeting, as there is so much good information to track.
